How Do You Dress as the Cowardly Lion?
There are plenty of ways to make this costume your own. The first step is to find some faux fur to use as a mane. You’ll also want some facial hair for the mustache. The final touch is to find a pair of lion’s paws to complete the look.
How Do You Make the Cowardly Lion’s Mane?
You can find this at most craft stores, or you can even use an old coat or scarf that you don’t mind cutting up. Once you have your fur, hot glue it around the neckline of your shirt. A brown mustache and goatee set will do the trick, or you can even try making your own out of some fake hair and spirit gum.
How Do You Make the Cowardly Lion Claws?
To make your lion claws, start by cutting four triangles out of thick craft foam. Next, use strapping tape to attach the claws to the fingertips of a pair of gloves. Once the glue has dried, paint the claws with gold or silver paint to give them a shiny finish.
What to Wear for the Cowardly Lion’s Body?
You’ll need to find a brown or tan hoodie or onesie and a pair of leggings. The hoodie will work great with the faux fur attached to the hood.
How Do You Make a Lion’s Tail?
To do this, cut a strip of fabric that is about 2 feet long and 2 inches wide. Fold the strip in half lengthwise and sew the two sides together, leaving a small opening at the top. Then, turn the strip inside out so that the seam is on the inside. Once you have done this, stuff the tail with cotton batting or stuffing material. Finally, sew the opening closed and attach it to your pants with safety pins.
